CARY, NC, September 21, 2017 — For the third consecutive year, BlueLine Associates was the title sponsor for the Kids ‘N Community Foundation “Heart of the Hurricanes” 19th Annual Golf Tournament which was held on Monday, September 11th at the prestigious Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina. This year’s golf tournament raised over $50,000 to support children’s charities throughout North Carolina. In attendance at the sold-out golf tournament were hundreds of supporters of the Kids ‘N Community Foundation including the Carolina Hurricane players, coaching staff and their families.
The mission of Kids ‘N Community Foundation is to raise funds to support dozens of children’s charities to meet the health and education needs of the underserved youth. The Foundation has funded scholarship programs, youth hockey, educational and literacy efforts, health programs, the arts, and other youth-related initiatives. Since inception, Kids ‘N Community Foundation has raised almost $600,000.
BlueLine Associates President and CEO Rocky Silvestri said, “We are extremely pleased to be a part of a such a worthwhile cause and join forces with the Hurricanes to make a difference in the lives of our underserved youth. This is always a fun and rewarding charity event, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with the Carolina Hurricanes.
To add a little sizzle to the event, tournament organizers once again arranged for the winning team to receive the coveted “championship jacket.” We’re proud to say that BlueLine, returning as defending champs, once again earned that jacket. BlueLine also gave away a lot of promotional swag to all in attendance and raffled a drone to help raise additional funds.
“Community outreach has and always will be a key part of the BlueLine culture, and we feel it’s our responsibility to give back and get involved in a positive way in the communities where we live and work, said Rob Blanchette, BlueLine Associates Partner.
Representatives from our BlueLine leadership team will have the honor and privilege to present a check, covering the proceeds from the golf tournament, to Foundation representatives on center ice at an upcoming Carolina Hurricanes hockey game.
